Kappas on Capitol Hill
Each year the Annapolis (MD) Alumni Chapter participates in the Fraternity’s national political cause. The James “Biff” Carter Legislative Conference, commonly known as “Kappas on Capitol Hill,” is intended to connect the concerns of members to key federal legislators and regulators, to effect positive change. Since its inception in 2002, members of Kappa have met with influential members of Congress, including our own Brother John Conyers and others, who have been strong advocates for the priorities of African-Americans.
